The course splits in two parts: The first half discusses numerical solutions of linear systems, of ordinary differential equations, and of partial differential equations. The second half of the course lays the foundations for numerical relativity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be 16 lectures of 50 minutes each between <strong>May 12 and July 4, 2025.<\/strong> The course will be given by three lecturers from AEI Potsdam:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dr. Max Corman<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dr. Takami Kuroda<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prof. Dr. Harald Pfeiffer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Lectures will take place from <strong>11am to noon Mondays, and from 9am to 10am on Wednesdays and Fridays<\/strong> of each week.  There are <strong>some exceptions as noted below<\/strong>, to avoid conflicts with other events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All lectures can be attended in person in <strong>room 0.01<\/strong> at the AEI Potsdam, or via <strong>Zoom<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When available, the <strong>lecture notes<\/strong> and <strong>lecture recordings<\/strong> can be found under &#8220;Course Materials&#8221; on the pages of the individual lectures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be three <a href=\"https:\/\/imprs-lectures.aei.mpg.de\/2025-computational-methods\/problem-sets\/\">problem sets<\/a> and four discussion sessions with the lecturers.
